I just don't know why a simple scanning apps need to be given permission to my location,my contact before I am able to use it.(after all I have paid for the scanning device and app is just an interface) It feel too creepy and unsettling to feel that you are constantly being monitored by this app and loose a lot of what you value such as privacy and choice.Hi Support, thanks for your advice, my pen scanner is able to work again and it scans perfectly although not all the words scan correctly but it has saved my time in daily tasks for data input.

2. Apparently It will not work with the Chromebook and should not be advertised as such.It's not connecting .. 7. When translating sentences from Japanese to English, the ouput (produced by google translate) does not contain yomi-kata.

1. Fix WorldPenScan Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart WorldPenScan: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the WorldPenScan App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WorldPenScan" » Open WorldPenScan » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WorldPenScan » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear WorldPenScan app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WorldPenScan servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WorldPenScan" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check WorldPenScan app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WorldPenScan might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall WorldPenScan. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WorldPenScan then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WorldPenScan not working

2. Fix WorldPenScan Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WorldPenScan be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WorldPenScan not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WorldPenScan may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
