1. It runs smoothly and I have been using it on the iPad for a couple if years, and have not encountered any issues as of yet.I downloaded this app last year, I downloaded my Pearson Books onto this app, worked perfectly, I decided to download my new books today, however, it is always saying 'Empty Shelf' I have gone to the website viewer, still isn't working, I DID activate my book but it is NOT showing up.

2. "You viewer is empty" or the app is taking a century to not even loaded.Books won't Even load! I haven't been able to get a single book loaded in for my class, Don't download and look for another e-book provider.I love this app.

3. Congratulations Pearson, for making our study a delight!keep asking me to log in and redownload the book and lots of time the book wouldn´t work, showing only empty page.

4. Please help.Audio book portion doesn't work unless you start from the very beginning every time you open the app.Please, please, please fix your apps and websites! Keep crashing and so slow.

5. Classes start the 15th and I'm frustrated 😤Used worldwidely for school but is the worst app i have ever downloaded...Used money to purchase the books but just to see them become useless.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Reader+ Issues

1. Fix Reader+ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Reader+: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Reader+ App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Reader+" » Open Reader+ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Reader+ » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Reader+ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Reader+ servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Reader+" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Reader+ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Reader+ might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Reader+. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Reader+ then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Reader+ not working


2. Fix Reader+ Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Reader+ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Reader+ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Reader+ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
