Cisco eReader Customer Insights

1. How are you supposed to study for a certification using only this app? Where's the Proper physical handbooks? For a certification of this amount providing students with proper study material and having a online version as a backup is a no-brainer.

2. Highlighting is also very difficult and the highlight doesn't really shown on the page.

3. The page slider always indicates Page 1 regardless of which page I'm on; consequently, I don't know which page I'm on and it's difficult to navigate.

4. Text is cut=unreadable on right and left border of page.

5. It's impossible to get back to your previous page due to the aforementioned page slider bug.

6. The page scroll bar also broken.

7. The scroll bar is all the way in the middle but the page still at 1.

8. No matter what page I'm on, it says I'm on page 1.

9. It will only be listed in the highlights selection page.

10. The moment we enter login details the app crashes on OnePlus 5t.Last version has broken graphics.

11. With this app you can't even do the basics like save where you left or make notes etc...This app is actual junk.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cisco eReader Issues

1. Fix Cisco eReader Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cisco eReader: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cisco eReader App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cisco eReader" » Open Cisco eReader » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cisco eReader » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cisco eReader app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cisco eReader servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cisco eReader" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cisco eReader app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cisco eReader might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cisco eReader. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cisco eReader then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cisco eReader not working


2. Fix Cisco eReader Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cisco eReader be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cisco eReader not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cisco eReader may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
