SET YOUR PREFERRED ALGORITHM IN 'SETTINGS' BEFORE DELETING ANY FILES OR ELSE! ...Using this has given a total sense of ease..I use it once every 3 or 4 weeks (if I have been downloading Pdf's or taking pictures, etc.) Anything that will remain on my phone after deleting it or even after performing a factory reset (that doesn't completely delete everything..Shreddit does..!!'Erase all data' and 'erase free space' are next to each other on the same drop menu, they are the only two options there, one operation is the most drastic and the other the least.

Keep up the great work.I was very disappointed to discover, much to my dismay, the default operation is to overwrite with zeroes which, in my experience, is far from the safest option for a supposedly secure delete function! Defaulting to a safer algorithm [say, random fill] - or getting the user to choose their preferred default on first use - would be a far better course of action.

3. Otherwise, it works great!I was very concerned when multiple reviews reported the ability to recover photos and files with either diskdigger or dumpster, but I ran this on a test picture and pdf and neither were recoverable with either program.

One suggestion would be to have the option of seeing all pics and videos in one area, no matter where they are located on your phone, instead of having to go into every subdirectory manually.

5. Another would be to delete duplicate pics and vids so that only one instance remains.Sometimes the app will get stuck shredding a file, especially if it's a photo after deleting a bunch of photos, like when you delete a thumbs folder.

1. Fix Shreddit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Shreddit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Shreddit App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Shreddit" » Open Shreddit - Data Eraser » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Shreddit » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Shreddit - Data Eraser app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Shreddit servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Shreddit - Data Eraser" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Shreddit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Shreddit might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Shreddit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Shreddit then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Shreddit not working

2. Fix Shreddit Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Shreddit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Shreddit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Shreddit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
