1. Though this tool has its own light weight file explorer for providing easy access to your gallery and personal data, it also provides strong integration with your device's built in file manager (OR any third party file manager).
2. Below is the list of key data shredding standards used by the tool (we do not claim to have invented these standards; we just have implemented them in our data shredding tool for you).
3. The technique especially designed to work for devices internal and external storage with optimized window (buffer) sizes to shred data with efficiency and reliably.
4. The software uses chip smartly for data shredding yielding greater time efficiency while erasing.
5. Like for instance on ES File Explorer select one or multiple files and go to Share > Shreddit, the app will take all those files as input and shreds them.
6. It deploys quick shredding algorithm which shreds huge data volumes PERMANENTLY in matter of seconds.
7. SHREDDIT is android data eraser which securely deletes files leaving them irrecoverable.
8. Shreddit implements the standards of data sanitization techniques which have been developed after decades of research.
9. It shreds the media file (video or image) from the gallery completely, you might see the image thumbnail in your gallery.
10. The app provides preview of media files to give you better insight about content you want to secure erase.
11. Don’t worry all the content of the specified media file has gone, just re-scan your media to sync thumbnails with media content.
1. Sadly, it's too late now for my sensitive data ... SET YOUR PREFERRED ALGORITHM IN 'SETTINGS' BEFORE DELETING ANY FILES OR ELSE! ...Using this has given a total sense of ease..I use it once every 3 or 4 weeks (if I have been downloading Pdf's or taking pictures, etc.) Anything that will remain on my phone after deleting it or even after performing a factory reset (that doesn't completely delete everything..Shreddit does..!!'Erase all data' and 'erase free space' are next to each other on the same drop menu, they are the only two options there, one operation is the most drastic and the other the least.
2. Keep up the great work.I was very disappointed to discover, much to my dismay, the default operation is to overwrite with zeroes which, in my experience, is far from the safest option for a supposedly secure delete function! Defaulting to a safer algorithm [say, random fill] - or getting the user to choose their preferred default on first use - would be a far better course of action.
3. Otherwise, it works great!I was very concerned when multiple reviews reported the ability to recover photos and files with either diskdigger or dumpster, but I ran this on a test picture and pdf and neither were recoverable with either program.
4. Thank you developers! I'm know how difficult it is to keep updating your app to match all the OEM software updates, so good job! One suggestion would be to have the option of seeing all pics and videos in one area, no matter where they are located on your phone, instead of having to go into every subdirectory manually.
5. Another would be to delete duplicate pics and vids so that only one instance remains.Sometimes the app will get stuck shredding a file, especially if it's a photo after deleting a bunch of photos, like when you delete a thumbs folder.
6. When running "wipe empty space" (either running in background or not) it locks up my phone and the screen goes black and is unresponsive for a long time.
7. However, the thumbnails and file names remained, and it didn't delete my apps or app data so what it does shred is underwhelmingly little.
8. it found files I've "deleted" with multiple passes, on different types and recovered them with ease.
9. Yesterday I tried it one last time and it crashed my Android OS and caused the phone to reboot.
10. Fortunately I've never fat-fingered this during my time using.I've been getting a System Message that my storage was critically low.
11. I've used this many times and it gave me peace of mind, but I recently decided to test it by downloading an app to recover files.
