Why should I report an Issue with Outdooractive. Hike and Ride?

1. Why would anyone replace a good app(Viewranger) working well in the US with one that is flawed and is designed for use in Germany and force people to switch, then expect them to pay for it?I've been fooling around with this app for over a year and man, do I miss Viewranger.

2. Uninstalling.One of the best features of prior app Viewranger was the ability to select a map area without creating a route, and downloading a large region - for those times when you stray from a pre-determined route.

3. Outdooractive Pro charges far more for the same features I got for 40% of the price in ViewRanger Pro, including more detailed maps.

4. Does it import tracks saved in ViewRanger? When I try to "connect with ViewRanger" on login page it does not do anything! It simply cannot connect my premium account! In the menu you can find now "Ski Resorts" and "Accommodations" for which I see no need to be there.

5. It does not have as good of a trail/route database as Alltrails.Have used ViewRanger for years for its easy of use, tracking and storing routes, along with all the bonuses.

6. With Outdooractive the map download feature automatically zooms to the limits of your route - why?? So you're forced to artificially create a dummy route to expand map area.

7. Eg: How about a quick, simple way to save a single waypoint from the map screen (like your car or the boat launch), then a quick, simple way to navigate back to that WPT? Nope, can't do it, unless you start tracking FIRST?(!!) Has to be the most complicated, frustrating outdoor nav app out there.

8. Sure wish Gaia worked on my watch.Kind of a bad replacement for viewranger.

9. What is the point? I perceive this switch from ViewRanger as the switch from enthusiast application to something much more commercial.

10. There are other apps out there you can trust, this one is not one of them right now.This is the app you're looking for if you want a GPS tracking map displayed on your smart watch (for free).

11. It was a very well done app so I figured, when they joined with Outdoor Active, it would only get better.WRONG! Can't even log in on the website, when on the trail app "spits and sputters" and has way too much going on...don't even get me started on the price.

1. Fix Outdooractive. Hike and Ride Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Outdooractive. Hike and Ride: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Outdooractive. Hike and Ride App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Outdooractive. Hike and Ride" » Open Outdooractive. Hike and Ride » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Outdooractive. Hike and Ride » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Outdooractive. Hike and Ride app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Outdooractive. Hike and Ride servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Outdooractive. Hike and Ride" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Outdooractive. Hike and Ride app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Outdooractive. Hike and Ride might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Outdooractive. Hike and Ride. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Outdooractive. Hike and Ride then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Outdooractive. Hike and Ride not working

2. Fix Outdooractive. Hike and Ride Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Outdooractive. Hike and Ride be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Outdooractive. Hike and Ride not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Outdooractive. Hike and Ride may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
