1. PLEASE LESS ADS!!!!!dude in comparison to all the other remote apps I've had to tolerate in the recent past, this app blows em out the water! what awesome features it offers! my only complaint is that the buttons are a bit too close causing me to accidentally click on wrong buttons.

Honestly I'd pay for the app to get rid of ads but I'm not paying a subscription, and not while the top buttons don't workOther then the adds, you can not turn the tv on with the app, you can't use the top buttons of the remote, and you have to continuously enter the pin for it to connect to the tv... other then that we haven't had any problems with the app.

3. The buttons on the top of the remote to access different streaming services through my tv don't work, they just take me to the streaming screen on the tv, not individual services.

4. And this found my actual remote and connected to my wifi and I can turn it off and on and use all the inputs and smart cast.

5. You have to stare at the remote the whole time and make sure you don't click the AD but usually you do because you're using it as you would a normal remote.

6. The downside is when you select "my remote not available " it requests you to upload a photo of your remote, however, instead of allowing you to upload a picture from your gallery, it only allows you to take a picture.

7. Very frustrating! Also the app buttons at the top don't work.Developer sent out a note on the app that he lowered the number of ads, but it seems he just lowered the number of button pushes between ads.

8. hands down best vizioappThe Remote itself is good but ads pop up at the worst time a lot.

9. Like when your trying to type on the keyboard and it's time sensitive because your putting in usernames/passwords for apps and every third letter or so you put in an ad pops up.

10. I have to uninstall and download it again to get it to work, which I do every single time because it does work well when it's connected.

1. Fix TV remote Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart TV remote: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the TV remote App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TV remote" » Open TV remote for Vizio SmartCast » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TV remote » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear TV remote for Vizio SmartCast app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TV remote servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TV remote for Vizio SmartCast" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check TV remote app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TV remote might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall TV remote. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TV remote then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TV remote not working

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TV remote be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TV remote not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TV remote may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
