Why should I report an Issue with News & Observer (N&O): Mobile?

1. Also, notifications often pop up and when you click these you aren't taken to the article but just the main N&O splash page .App won't even open anymore! Since the font and page setup have been updated we can't even get in through the app to read the paper.

2. I works fine on my Samsung S10, but who wants to read the newspaper on a tiny screen? I very frustrated with this app, but want the paper, most likely will cancel my subscription if this continues.

3. Now have to scroll through paper to certain page in order to read full article.

4. Links from headlines on the splash screen often open to a "page missing" page only for you to backpage to the article.

5. Now everyday I have to manually enter News & Observer and then go to the e-edition page and hope that it will last through the days reading.

6. Also in past some 3-4 paragraph wire service story in the hard copy paper would have longer story embedded online but can no longer read longer story since you can't tap on the story.

7. After clearing the cache, deleting and reinstalling the app, it still stops working multiple times such that I was not able to read the whole e-edition! Nothing solved.This app just gets worse and worse.

8. And when I've complained to them, well cue the crickets.I don't even give this news & observer app 1 star! Most every time I settle down to read the N&O, the app CRASHES.

9. Going back one page often throws me clear back to the starting "read now" or "download" choice.

10. In the last couple of weeks, the app has been pinging me with notifications, including a sports score that woke me out of a sound sleep! I have notifications disabled, but it seems to be ignoring that setting.

11. One major grip about the app is that, the "share" capability only allow you to share the images of the news article, not an URL to the WWW version of the article.

1. Restart News & Observer (N&O): Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the News & Observer (N&O) App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "News & Observer (N&O)" » Open News & Observer (N&O): Mobile » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for News & Observer (N&O) » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear News & Observer (N&O): Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from News & Observer (N&O) servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "News & Observer (N&O): Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check News & Observer (N&O) app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, News & Observer (N&O) might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall News & Observer (N&O). If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall News & Observer (N&O) then reinstall.

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make News & Observer (N&O) be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to News & Observer (N&O) not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
