The Charlotte Observer Customer Insights

1. All other news app do this, why not this one?As a native Charlottean, I've been reading the Observer on paper and on my phone for many years, love the articles! The app on the other hand is glitchy, namely when it takes you back to the first page of the E-edition after each time you click on and exit an article (even if its on the 15th page).

2. (1) There is not a search feature to locate specific articles, (2) The share link only provides the associated image not the entire article, (3) When I click on references to previous articles, it takes me back to the sign in page, & (4) When I attempt to sign in to read the articles, it doesn't allow me to select the correct Google account.I like the design of the recent upgrade with one exception.

3. Was taking up 900 MB of memory on phone, causing other apps to slow down as well. This is a 4-Star App for two reasons: it has some small bugs (which are being worked on by the team seen as replies) and delivers local news.

4. OK on my Pixel phone; lousy on Samsung Galaxy tablet - freezing up; not including the Xtra content normally included with the eEdition. No transition from article view to where you were in the e-edition.

5. I get push notifications for breaking news, but the app just loads to the main page and the article is nowhere to be found.

6. Thank you!I like to read the eEdition of the paper as I find the "regular" app and website content way too repetitive - same articles show up under multiple sections.

7. When I receive a push notification on my phone and I tap on the notice, it just opens the app to the home page and not the article.

8. Please fix this! It is frustrating to click on the article and if it posted awile ago it is no longer on the home page and you can't search for it.

9. The stories are up-to-date, the e-edition allows you to tap the article and have it open up for easier reading, and the games are all playable.

10. I've reinstalled it twice but it still hangs on launch 90% of the time and when it does work, soon crashes mid article.

11. It is an easy way to read articles from the Observer on a variety of devices.
