The Ministry of Public Health wants all users of the application to feel safe when using ETHERAZ and is committed to maintaining each individual’s privacy and confidentiality by using only the necessary minimum amount of information, personal data, and device permissions required to function and protect the citizens and residents of the State of Qatar. • Bluetooth signals for the exchange of anonymized IDs with devices in close proximity that also have EHTERAZ installed.

This information is used for contact tracing to alert individuals who are at risk of infection. • Background location services to always know where the device is, in order to better identify areas with a high infection rate and take prompt action to prevent the spread of COVID-19. • Local device storage when not connected to the internet to hold contact and location information until the user is back online.

1. The app is draining my phone battery and doesn't work without a permission to obtain access to the gallery and calls, which I am not fine with.

2. Why would you need Phone and Storage access? The UI could improve, why would you give a splash screen with the start button? Why don't you just go straight to the main screen? Last, when you post updates, please be more transparent and give more details about the update.

3. And to top it all off, it requires access to photos and calls, which makes no sense at all or it won't start - people are spending money and waiting in queues just to get burner phones to protect their privacy.

4. Once you get past the endless connection errors it's time for the 'invalid document number' fun to begin! I wanted to spend 24 hours as part of a extended stopover but in the end just gave up.It requires to be a little more user friendly with additional information.

5. Is anybody looking into this issue?the idea and intiative is very good but it consumes too much battery power and it makes the phone slower.

6. maybe there will be additional settings for us people to customize the control of this app.The only conclusion I can draw from this horrible bug filled app is that Qatar doesn't want people to visit, but that rather than come out and say that, for some reason they've decided to produce an application that it's literally impossible to register on.

7. The battery is drained insanely fast, meaning i have to have my phone fully charged before going outside; not to mention that it slowly kills the phone in this way.

8. Moreover, after installing it, I simply cannot control bluetooth on my phone, even if I switch it off, it lights up the screen and switches the bluetooth on itself (!).

9. There is no need for it to have access to all this information on the user's phone.

10. Phone call to help desk was helpful but I'm not going to call every time the App crashes.

11. I have this app so I can go to work, and it has nearly stopped already for being able to enter work and the one time I go to the supermarket after weeks of not doing so!This app should only require the use of location to function.

1. Fix EHTERAZ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart EHTERAZ: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the EHTERAZ App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "EHTERAZ" » Open EHTERAZ » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for EHTERAZ » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear EHTERAZ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from EHTERAZ servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "EHTERAZ" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check EHTERAZ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, EHTERAZ might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall EHTERAZ. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall EHTERAZ then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing EHTERAZ not working

2. Fix EHTERAZ Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make EHTERAZ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to EHTERAZ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, EHTERAZ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
