Lightleap Customer Insights

1. I tried to remove a photo bomb from an image and what remained looked like a slow-paced, time lapse TikTok effect that just spreads an image out.

2. Don't bother with this, there's better free versions out there.I bought the premium service & can't get past the features highlights, as it doesn't slide all the way to pg 5, there is no way to skip it, & no way to go to the home page.

3. I found this app to be a waste of time and money.I tried doing exactly what the app advertises with removing objects from the scene, but it doesn't perform like the advertised effect.

4. I could not get out of the cycle to use the program at all, free or otherwise.It is awful at erasing stuff, all of the filters and overlays are on photoshop and various other free to use programs.

5. Also $60? For stuff you can get free on other apps? Not worth it.Love this app for it's ability to get rid of small imperfections in my pictures.

6. Most of the time, unless the object being removed is very small, you will see where the object has been removed and filled in with a pattern of colors that somewhat approximate what surrounded the object.

7. If you try it and there are similar colors in your photo in the part you're trying to remove, you will have nothing but a mess.I see all the Bad reviews for this App so I decided to see for my self.

8. Usually when a program has buyable features along side free ones, you can at least use some of them.

9. It's free to download and yeah you can see how the features work but you can't save anything.

10. I tried to use the sky effect on another photo, but there is no way to feather the edges of the sky in the image.

11. Basically, I paid for some overlays and filters..I already had similar filters on my phone that came free with it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Lightleap Issues

1. Fix Lightleap Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Lightleap: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Lightleap App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Lightleap" » Open Lightleap by Lightricks » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Lightleap » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Lightleap by Lightricks app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Lightleap servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Lightleap by Lightricks" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Lightleap app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Lightleap might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Lightleap. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Lightleap then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Lightleap not working


2. Fix Lightleap Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Lightleap be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Lightleap not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Lightleap may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello you just took a subscription out of my account, for light leaps can I please cancel it and exchange it for a subscription to art leaps. I did take a subscription out for light leaps but I didnt use it, I did enjoy artleap but that subscription lapsed. So I would be happy to swap it for art leaps but if I cant do that then can you refund me the £17.49 that is pending waiting to come out of my account. Thanks Debbie Connell

  • Hello, I noticed form my bank account that yesterday the app took the money for another year for about €53,99 and honestly I wouldn't renew the subscription. I think it would be correct to send a reminder instead of charging for another year.
    I would love to get the refund and money back.
