1. Do better LG.It's getting a lot of 1 star reviews because setup is a nightmare as you have to connect to the speaker's WiFi hotspot before you can set it up on your network.

2. When I tried to connect this app to the speaker for the very first time, it wouldn't detect the speaker.

3. SK10Y wired to my router, Moto G phone on wireless; I can directly cast to the sound bar, yet the app still can't see the bar after successfully connecting once or twice over several weeks.

4. Why is he blast default? Why not standard? What more works better for tv, music, etc? LG didn't put much thought into the speakers or the app.When it works it's very good.

5. The only way to get around this is with the app, which won't connect.I'd recommend doing as much setup as possible manually using the buttons on your soundbar.

10. The setup steps are a disaster and the sound bar vanishes between uses.

11. The app has successfully connected to the speaker pretty much every time since then, but I have no idea what changed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix LG Wi-Fi Speaker Issues

1. Fix LG Wi-Fi Speaker Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart LG Wi-Fi Speaker: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the LG Wi-Fi Speaker App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "LG Wi-Fi Speaker" » Open LG Wi-Fi Speaker » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for LG Wi-Fi Speaker » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear LG Wi-Fi Speaker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from LG Wi-Fi Speaker servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "LG Wi-Fi Speaker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check LG Wi-Fi Speaker app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, LG Wi-Fi Speaker might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall LG Wi-Fi Speaker. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall LG Wi-Fi Speaker then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing LG Wi-Fi Speaker not working
