Drops Customer Insights

1. The written characters don't always match the Romanizae pronunciations which also don't always match the audio and also don't always match the picture! I'm just blindly guessing to keep by streak going! Only happened in the last couple of days! Please fix it! I like this app for practicing my Cantonese vocabulary.

2. Some words are in a soft soothing voice and others are too loud for my speaker to handle.Good for vocab practice, but I'm not sure all the vocabulary is entirely correct.

3. I will be recommending this to others, especially those that enjoy games such as Candy Crush!I like the idea, however, I would like the option to focus on learning the words without trying to also learn a different alphabet.

4. I do well when I am given the romanized 'spelling' but trying to remember the words and how the Japanese characters are shaped leaves me guessing more and more as I learn more words.

5. To fix this, they could add the ability to add phrases to the "Review", but I can't unless I've been introduced to those specific words alreadyThis app used to be great, but now, it's facing some serious coding issues.

6. For example, I just finished an entire section and don't know one word.While I've only played the 1st little 10 mins, this is ADORABLE!! I am adding alongside the 🦉 app to boost my language skills; both have their strengths in language teaching methods.

7. The older "Meet & Greet" was my go to for a language introduction while traveling, now it's gone and has been split into several other categories.

8. Not always, but most times, when I don't have access to the internet, it doesn't allow me to start a new lesson, saying I need to upgrade to premium.Great for learning.

9. 🤦🏻 ♂️ (I've updated my phone, the app, cleaned all junk files & deleted 5 gbs of unnecessary apps.) It also fails to recognize premium membership when you're offline.

10. I guess that's partly on me for cutting it close, but seriously why is this app so laggy? Also syncing between devices is a nightmare that I don't have the characters to describe.Not enough room to describe what's wrong with the app.

11. Other quizzes test if you know things that aren't common knowledge and aren't taught in the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Drops Issues

1. Fix Drops Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Drops: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Drops App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Drops" » Open Drops: Language Learning Games » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Drops » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Drops: Language Learning Games app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Drops servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Drops: Language Learning Games" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Drops app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Drops might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Drops. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Drops then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Drops not working


2. Fix Drops Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Drops be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Drops not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Drops may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I used wrong card to be a year member for this app. I have no money. Please cancel my membership. I did not authorize you to automatically withdraw money from my card. I used my brothers card without asking and I only the wanted free trial.
