1. Essentially, the app wasn't able to talk to the hardware and gave me a screen that said "User not registered" but it never gave me any screen to input the registration number so how the **** am I supposed to register this ridiculous thing?? I uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times, hoping I may have overlooked something but what do they say about doing the same thing multiple times and expecting different results? That's right! Insanity.
2. The next morning submitted the test info.It is what it is, Different sleep, knowing that it is not the usual CPAP and having on attachments on chest and finger partly sleeping and wake/consciousness, which is unusual for me.Well I was skeptical based on negative reviews, but it all seemed to work well! The finger thingy was tight, but I put it on my little finger and was fine.
3. It need location access so it can run in the background, if not your phone will turn it off in the middle of your sleep test.
4. Putting it on was easy yes the finger holder is a little uncomfortable (and it does hurt for about 4 min after you take it off.) I slept well the app was working great I kept my phone on the charger.
5. I gave the app all permissions it asked for, so this seems like an oversight that needs to be corrected by the developers. This app requires access to all photos, media, and files on your phone.
6. The only thing wrong was the location on my phone wasn't turned on.Initially had trouble connecting.
7. It should only need access to keep your phone awake, use Bluetooth, transmit data, and write to its own temporary file structure.
8. I will put it on an old phone not tied to my Google account.Even though I had some trouble putting everything on myself, I was able to connect and everthing worked fine.
9. But in the morning when I was going to end recording, app was closed and when I opened the app it was at the start of the study as if I had to start the whole thing again! Then said something about not detecting the device and check battery.
10. I kept getting notifications to take out the battery and reinsert it and to make sure the watch was close to the phone when neither of those were the actual problem.
11. Then I remembered that Bluetooth detection requires location (because it could be used, in some situations, to determine location, which would be a privacy issue), so I manually enabled location for this app and tried again.
