HiCare Customer Insights

1. Something you don't see with other competitors.The app kept putting my phone into Maintainance Mode and getting it ready to send back to Huawei to be mended despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with it.

2. Extremely annoying so uninstalled it.I activated the app to get the last system update, after I read an article on the web says it's the only way to upgrade to the new Android 9, which I hope it ends this freezing in my smartphone.

3. Plus, I find it strange that the app has to know the IMEI number of the phone? It should be able to tell it is a Huweai device without it.

4. On loading for the first time the app advised I wasn't connected to a data source, presumably WiFi or Mobile data, both of which are connected.

5. But automatic step counting leaves much to be desired displaying more than double the steps taken !! My free Pedometer app is better at that, shame.The communication with live advisors is almost perfect.

6. But first they advise me to reset the phone, no katter what the issue is.

7. It used to work perfectly, but now with the recent design change, all the writing is white on a white background.

8. Love the fact i can chat to support agents without having to call a toll free number and be put on hold every minute.

9. I finally gave up and went to reset my phone.

10. Ability to change fonts and font sizes in home screen, app drawer and folders.

11. They are not guilty that the newest models have some features disabled, what was available in older models.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HiCare Issues

1. Fix HiCare Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HiCare: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HiCare App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HiCare" » Open HiCare » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HiCare » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HiCare app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HiCare servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HiCare" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HiCare app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HiCare might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HiCare. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HiCare then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HiCare not working


2. Fix HiCare Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HiCare be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HiCare not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HiCare may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
