1. Worked perfectly 1st time, connected to the internet, found all my thousands of photos in phone and portable hard drive, sorted them and displays a great slide show on my flat screen TV.

2. I also chatted with technical support who confirmed the device doesnt play videoMy biggest issue with this app is that it doesn't automatically upload my photos.

3. I have also had 28 items show processing in the app for weeks but no luck with the support ticket I opened for it.It's a decent enough photo storage device, but a NAS would work just as well.

4. I'm pretty tech savvy so I could only imagine how difficult this would be for the average person.The device is a decent photo server and NOT a video server.

5. After encountering a minor issue when using the Android app I contacted their customer support, they responded within a few hours and provided me with a link to a very useful support page on their website.

6. (Photos work fine.) Hence "Diskless personal cloud server for photos and videos" is a false statement.

7. Automatic face grouping NEVER worked, not even once.This thing cost over $100 and I've had it for 2 years and haven't been able to use it.

8. Some photos will display after initial upload but then will show just a black screen later when you go back to them.

9. Waste of money.An excellent device and considerate customer support.

10. When associating faces with people you are only given the face where the ability to view the entire picture could give helpful context.

11. Face detection worked ONCE on 4 photos and then never worked again.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Monument Photo Management Issues

1. Fix Monument Photo Management Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Monument Photo Management: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Monument Photo Management App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Monument Photo Management" » Open Monument Photo Management » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Monument Photo Management » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Monument Photo Management app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Monument Photo Management servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Monument Photo Management" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Monument Photo Management app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Monument Photo Management might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Monument Photo Management. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Monument Photo Management then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Monument Photo Management not working


2. Fix Monument Photo Management Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Monument Photo Management be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Monument Photo Management not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Monument Photo Management may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
