Shift Customer Insights

1. I had sent an email to customer service about the glitch before I figured out how to fix it on my own & they were friendly & said they'd send the info on the fix to their tech team.I didn't get very far and didn't sign up for anything, only took the quiz but it was quite annoying that it didn't include the hourglass body type in their options since I got a email a few minutes after going to to research on the app to see if I'm willing to invest in it and it made a big deal on how your body type affects your metabolism which might be true but it didn't help me since I had to pick a random one to move forward.

2. The program itself looks great but when you sign up, there is a ton of info and offers to wade through....seen this before.Walk away!Don't try to cancel your subscription and get a refund when you're billed again because it didn't actually cancel.

3. It isn't my fault that the subscription didn't cancel when I tried six months before the renewal date.

4. Those discounted rates they offer for new customers? Yeah.. NON-REFUNDABLE, and they hide that info in their very small print terms and conditions.....I should've trusted my gut and walked away, especially since there were some spelling errors in their articles.

5. For a program that is supposed to be tailored to individuals, there are little or no options for actual customization in either meal plan or workout preference/needs.

6. I don't recommend this to anyone.SCAM! After suffering through pages and pages of their ad and trying to beat the countdown clock for "specials," I ended up paying for a year, downloaded and IMMEDIATELY saw that they misrepresent what they sell.

7. Although it is well made with exercises and recipe recommendations, not being able to access the contents because the app keeps crashing has been a devastating experience.

8. They'll just say its part of their terms and conditions that they don't offer a refund because the Customized Plan is already "at a discount".

9. It is very frustrating.Looks like a great program but....make sure you read EVERY single word on their page when you sign up.

10. They advise that hidden within all those pages was a notice that I "agreed" to that any specials or upgrades are not refundable! Too bad a negative star rating is not available.

11. The app was crashing everyday since I paid and joined the subscription plan.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Shift Issues

1. Fix Shift Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Shift: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Shift App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Shift" » Open Shift » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Shift » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Shift app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Shift servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Shift" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Shift app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Shift might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Shift. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Shift then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Shift not working


2. Fix Shift Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Shift be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Shift not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Shift may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Please cancel my subscription. I have called and left a voicemail and emailed several times with no response. This app doesn't let me sign in, I am not interested in it and do NOT want to be charged continuously. Please, please cancel the subscription, Thank you.
