Sleeptracker Customer Insights

1. I will say that on days i meet my goal i do feel better throughout the day.***The Problem: Although my phone (and every other wireless device in the house) has no problem connecting to my CenturyLink WiFi router (technicolor c2000t), the Smartmotion processor/app appears to have a fatal connection issue with some routers.

2. I've never used any other apps/devices to track sleep to compare against, but Sleeptracker definitely does everything I can imagine I'd need it to do.Absolutely love this app/sleep monitor! The first few nights were inconsistent and then I started manual recording when I go to bed.

3. Only minor annoyance was how it's kind of quirky to choose which side of the bed a single sleeper is sleeping on, but now that we know how to change it it's no big deal.Sleeptracker is awesome! I'm a fan of knowing what sort of things are going on so that I can work towards improving them, or so that I can learn and share things with others.

4. Im not sure how it works but does vary the times it sounds leading me to believe theres something triggering it based on sleep patterns.

5. ***Summary: The information that the Sleeptracker App provides has been useful, and although the system is somewhat clunky (having to hit record every night) there’s a nice set of features.

6. The data gathered cannot be anything better than a fabrication-to-impress given that the app provides detail data for REM sleep, heartrate, etc.

7. I hope that firmware updates can fix their connection problems, as having to buy a $300 mesh network as a workaround for an already expensive bed doesn’t seem reasonable.App is useless.

8. ***The Solution: Although customer support was responsive, none of their suggestions had any chance of working, I went through every setting on the router looking for a fix but to no avail.

9. The tracker works remarkably well - it is able to distinguish when i fall asleep & wake up with incredible accuracy(with a full mattress in between the sensor pad).

10. After setting it up in the new place, the tracker stopped recording my sleep automatically.

11. Through sheer luck I happened to be testing a mesh network (Eero), and sure enough the app/processor connected just fine.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sleeptracker Issues

1. Fix Sleeptracker Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sleeptracker: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sleeptracker App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sleeptracker" » Open Sleeptracker® » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sleeptracker » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Sleeptracker® app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sleeptracker servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Sleeptracker®" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sleeptracker app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sleeptracker might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sleeptracker. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sleeptracker then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sleeptracker not working


2. Fix Sleeptracker Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sleeptracker be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sleeptracker not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sleeptracker may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
