1. otherwise, it's free, useful, easy to use, and ties directly to the on-line computer version required for substitutes.Could be great if it worked as intended, but the last two weeks it has not notified me of any new jobs unless I open it, which defeats the purpose of using it, and is causing lots of sub positions to go unfilled! Furthermore, it occasionally lists the upcoming jobs I have but most of the time tells me there was an issue or I have nothing scheduled.

2. I like that I can filter by school or by teacher, but additional filters such as grade/class type, or full day/half day would be niceMy husband and I both use Frontline but for months now, it rarely sends us any notifications.

3. Marginally more convenient than the full site.It quit working about a week ago "Oh oh, something went wrong.

4. I have been trying for over an hour to gain access to my time management system for work.

5. If you have a job in one district and attempt to switch to another there is an error message that shows saying, "Oops, something went wrong...please try again".

6. All of our settings within our apps and phones are correct.I like this app enough, because it's free unlike many other sub management apps, and it's through the actual Absence Management System instead of a third party.

7. I'm not entirely sure why users have to input a special site number to set it up the first time but that isn't the worst setup in the world.

8. Most of all, wish it didn't refresh to the top every time you tab over to a different app (calendar for example) or click on an assignment for details.Beware if you sub in multiple districts.

9. You either get spammed for every single new posting or you don't get any notifications at all and you manually check the listings to find out a dozen have gone up without warning.

10. Wish you had more filter options such as date (not just next 7 days, like a specific date), subject, grade, full/half day, etc.

11. Wish I could hide jobs without rejecting or save jobs without accepting in case my schedule changes.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Frontline Education Issues

1. Fix Frontline Education Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Frontline Education: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Frontline Education App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Frontline Education" » Open Frontline Education » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Frontline Education » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Frontline Education app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Frontline Education servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Frontline Education" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Frontline Education app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Frontline Education might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Frontline Education. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Frontline Education then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Frontline Education not working


2. Fix Frontline Education Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Frontline Education be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Frontline Education not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Frontline Education may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
