1. Sing to the device microphone and the app will generate midi file from your voice.
2. Can be used as voice to midi, guitar to midi, piano to midi or just any audio to midi.
3. One track MIDI file is created that can be single notes or polyphonic.
4. The Voice To MIDI app converts any audio to MIDI.
5. You can also choose Piano or guitar sound.
6. In polyphonic mode Voice to MIDI will try to convert every sound signal into a MIDI note...
1. Sad really when we can convert speech into text for over 10 years, but can't do this!I mean, sure I did hear the notes that I sang or whistled, but there were also a ton of other notes that were definitely not sung or whistled.
2. It seems to just select random notes to convert, no matter what kind of audio you use.
3. I hooked it up with synthesia, and it sounded like a cat hitting random notes on a keyboard, not even remotely close to what I wanted.
4. Worthlessi LOVE The idea, but the notes just don't work well.
5. If it were somehow more reliable at that the app would be fantastic.A good idea but I found, after trying it a number if times, that the results sounded far too different from the original sound I put in.
6. Any advice on sensitivity settings would be helpful it seemed more accurate when I had a tissue over the microphone! I suspect it's picking up too many external frequencies.
7. Still, the output is something you could drop into a midi editor and if you are a songwriter, even if the content isn't what you had in mind, you could be inspired by what you have to work with, and it is technically your creation.
8. BRILL IDEA!!!Not ready for prime time, this app simply doesn't WORK in any sense of the word.
9. Sample use seems to lack extra notes.
10. Constantly picking up notes that aren't there and even the timing is somehow bizarrely off.
11. The app picks up extra noise and is not very accurate, leading to funny results.
