What users are saying

1. Can't even use it.Can't use the app unless I'm using headphones... That makes no sense considering I want to have fun with my friends, how are 4 people supposed to wear the same headphones??? Just remove that feature so that the app is actually useableIt would be better if i can access this app and use it without connecting to a speaker; even when i have earphones, i cant use the app.Worst vocoder app ever, I'm trying to create a sound from msm and I can't even.

2. I cannot understand why people give this a 1 or 2 star, so I'ma find out (I give this a 5 star for nothing) Well i found out why people hate this vocoder I connected my headphones to the phone and the screen that's saying "Please connect your headphones or speakers!" hasn't disappeared and some glitches are in the app.

3. But i won't uninstall this app and i will keep it in my folder.I connected my Bluetooth headphones and spoke into the microphone, but it still wouldn't work... Think this app would work better if you didn't have to use headphones or microphones to be able to access the whole app.I have to connect it to soemthing just to use it.

4. Just kept asking me to connect to a device even after connecting to multiple devicesUnfortunately this app doesn't work on my Samsung S8+ with Android 9 - after connecting headphones as instructed there's no microphone signal input.

5. Pure silence, no sound at all ;-)I cannot use it, on a count of my BT headphones not being considered as headphones.

6. I connected speakers via bluetooth and it still said connect headphone or speaker.

7. I can't click things and all I hear is a weird glitch sound.It doesn't do anything.

8. Also, i am getting A LOT of "this app was designed for an older version of android... i have a samsung A50.

9. If this requirement didn't exist, this wouldn't be a problem.

10. At least this one opensVery bad voice changer.

11. Dumb.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Vocoder Issues

1. Fix Vocoder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart Vocoder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Vocoder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Vocoder" » Open Vocoder » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Vocoder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Vocoder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Vocoder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Vocoder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Vocoder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Vocoder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Vocoder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Vocoder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Vocoder not working

2. Fix Vocoder Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Vocoder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Vocoder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Vocoder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
