1. It does take a bit of time to get used to, but you should practice your drum tuning just like you would your drum playing.. (after all what good is having Great chops if your drums don't sound up to par?) There is more information within this app than you can imagine, including tuning interval suggestions between your toms and snare drum tuning intervals and so much more information such as what fundamental pitches a tom of a certain size may sound good at.
2. Not to mention that it is VERY reasonably priced.. Good Drumming To You!! PS: I had a couple of question about the app and the developer was very helpful and quick to respond...This is a great drum tuning app you can use it to set your drums to where they should be and then you can play around with different tunings and always get back to your original tunings.
3. I'm a drum teacher and I use this app to not only tune my different kits up quickly and consistently, but I also use it to help teach my students how to tune their own kits.
4. You can buy the drum tune product but you'll be wasting your money and you'd have to pay for batteries and remember to bring the thing with you.

9. If you rotate your phone instead of the drum, you get different readings which aren't true.
10. it could be my terrible drum heads, but there also isn't a change in the sound.
11. I suggest finding the drum's resonate frequency first, just tap on the side of the drum without heads on.
