1stPay Customer Insights

1. Unable to open the app on one device, the other which is my phone, works but unable to connect the mobile reader (moby 3000).

2. You MUST force stop the app and then reopen and log back in to get to history in order to log authorization number.App was fine, company was garbage.

3. Automatically renewed an annual contract without contacting me and Charged $495 for early termination.Total rip off.

4. 07/03/23 update: Found out that location on your device has to be on.

5. There should be a message in the app saying that's a requirement.Every time I use this app I have to go to Airplane mode.

6. Talked to first pay they say it is Verizon problem.

7. Getting very tired of the pass off.Once sale is completed you can no longer get back to home screen.

8. I have talked to Verizon they tell me it is the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix 1stPay Issues

1. Fix 1stPay Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart 1stPay: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the 1stPay App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "1stPay" » Open 1stPayMobile EMV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for 1stPay » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear 1stPayMobile EMV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from 1stPay servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "1stPayMobile EMV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check 1stPay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, 1stPay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall 1stPay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall 1stPay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing 1stPay not working


2. Fix 1stPay Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make 1stPay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to 1stPay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, 1stPay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
