1. Impossible to listen to with both sources talking at the same time.The new video player for streaming does not keep the screen from timing out, which then causes the video to stop playing.

8. Update: I contacted your customer support a week ago, and after an initial email saying you'd look into it, it's been total radio silence.

9. It seems like something called "REAL TIME INSIGHTS " is more important to here than your actual TV program.

10. Shuts down when the screen times out, shuts down when I close the cover to the phone, shuts down when I go to another app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CNBC Issues

1. Fix CNBC Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CNBC: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CNBC App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CNBC" » Open CNBC: Business & Stock News » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CNBC » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CNBC: Business & Stock News app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CNBC servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CNBC: Business & Stock News" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CNBC app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CNBC might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CNBC. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CNBC then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CNBC not working


2. Fix CNBC Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CNBC be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CNBC not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CNBC may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
