5. The "Scheduling" and "My Schedule" icons show the exact same thing which is my personal monthly work schedule, whereas before, the "Scheduling" icon would show you who was working that day.

6. It logs me out every time I close the app and all features don't work when I do log in.The mapping/navigation needs working on, the updates made the hole over app worse then it was.

7. Edit: After the 2/28 update, the redundant alerts are gone, but the alerts popup when my phone is locked, and prevents the screen from ever going back to sleep.

8. If you have to use this program for scheduling, don't do it and there are alot better options out there that actually work like they are supposed toWorks well about 90% of the time.

9. I have an android phone that was not responding to the latest update done a couple days ago.

10. I would highly recommend!Stopped working entirely with the most recent update.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Chief Issues

1. Fix Chief Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Chief: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Chief App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Chief" » Open Chief Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Chief » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Chief Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Chief servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Chief Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Chief app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Chief might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Chief. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Chief then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Chief not working


2. Fix Chief Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Chief be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Chief not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Chief may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
