AVY Customer Insights

1. Sound is spotty and have to login multiple times to get a connection.The past update has caused some issue with the application being able to connect to my cameras.

2. The QR code scanning is responsive, connecting to your system while you are away works effortlessly (as long as you're somewhere with data or wifi), push notifications work well (even though I disable them for myself and clients).

3. As of today it is useless for android devices, iPhones can still scan the qr codes without any issues.App is always trying to connect to the server.

4. Using their solutions you can pretty much do everything you need for home or business security needs.App worked great until the update.

5. Video now changes quality on its own if it stays connected and constantly tells me not comparable with new version of android.

6. I want to revert to the old version which was 100 times better.This app worked great on my old Samsung Galaxy S9.

7. It won't connect and allow me to view my cameras.

8. I want to be able to check my cameras when I'm not home and now that's not possible.

9. I can no longer see my video footage of my cameras though phone.

10. I now have to count on my doorbell camera (different manufacturer) to alert me when someone/ vehicle is within range.

11. It makes me wish I never bought the cameras.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix AVY Issues

1. Fix AVY Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart AVY: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the AVY App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "AVY" » Open AVY Mobile CVMS » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for AVY » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear AVY Mobile CVMS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from AVY servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "AVY Mobile CVMS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check AVY app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, AVY might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall AVY. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall AVY then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing AVY not working


2. Fix AVY Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make AVY be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to AVY not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, AVY may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
