Wisenet mobile Customer Insights

1. Iphone version works, but this android version when playing back recordings the recorded time actually on the dvr says is 13:00hrs but is not there, but at 16:00hrs in the app useless to search anything, this is because if you wanted to look at something 5mins ago it is impossible to go 3hrs forward because the app shows blank because the recordings have not happened yet.

2. You messed up the app so you sort it out.New version of app is terrible, new live drag back time line seems to cause alot of lag to connect to live cameras where last version connected pretty quickly.

3. The ipolis software that I use on my tablet plays back the video but that software no longer works with the latest version of Android that is on my phone, so I'm stuck with Wisenet.

4. What changed? UPDATE (August 18, 2022): the problem with version 2.3.1 is access is restricted going through a firewall via port forwarding.

5. When zooming in to an area of interest the display self centers onto the image center as soon as you remove your fingers from the screen forcing you to scroll back to the area of interest.No longer working after latest update.

6. Love the recording feature, so you can get the video clip without having to use a USB device on the main recording device.No longer able to use mobile phone to view cameras.

7. I email the support staff but have not received a response.The video play back is great, you can see real time and play back at once.

8. Tried resetting and unistallimg and reinstalling the app with negative results.The recent update (July 4, 2022) that just came out no longer works on my Note9.

9. An example of this month I have an event on my list that starts at 05:00:22 and when clicked to play I get footage from 05:07:42.

10. Everything worked well for a month then the last few weeks we have been unable to access any image from our mobile phones.

11. The app did a good job finding the cameras and showing live video.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Wisenet mobile Issues

1. Fix Wisenet mobile Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Wisenet mobile: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Wisenet mobile App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Wisenet mobile" » Open Wisenet mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Wisenet mobile » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Wisenet mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Wisenet mobile servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Wisenet mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Wisenet mobile app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Wisenet mobile might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Wisenet mobile. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Wisenet mobile then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Wisenet mobile not working


2. Fix Wisenet mobile Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Wisenet mobile be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Wisenet mobile not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Wisenet mobile may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
