ChromaCom Customer Insights

1. Nothing can be done ! Fix the app !!!!!!! It tells you to go into the system settings , but the settings are not available to go to !!!!Light output only seems bright on the one "white light" setting which seems around 4-5000k but would be better to have the ability to match to the other lights in the bathroom (2700-3500 Kelvin).

2. As well, should be able to have background option so it could use a dark theme like all other apps on my phone.Slow changing lights, app requires precise location as it asks, can be locked out by same app on another phone that is no longer near unit.

3. Half the time when I go to connect to the Bluetooth I have to shut the breaker off to the bathroom to be able to get it to connect.

4. The changing of the brightness is buggy, would be nice if it was instantaneous but I have to fiddle with the brightness with the light off and turn it on and off a few times for changes to take effect.3 major issues.

5. It worked one time with me after setting the timer for the fan and disconnecting from Bluetooth and the next time it didn't.

6. After connecting power must pair switch quickly, my power was in attic so had to use breaker, instructions does say this but was not the way I took.

7. Should be able to change the default password to connect to the Bluetooth.

8. It was seamless connecting the speaker to my Bluetooth, but I had to restart my phone over a handful of times before it would finally install the app.

9. I also have an issue where all of sudden fan and light will turn off on its own and I think it's related to this app.In each of my bathrooms I have the speaker light fan & it was amazing.

10. Now I can only use the app for one of them to control everything, the other show as not connected & only play music.

11. No big deal, we only need one phone connected to it AT A TIME.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ChromaCom Issues

1. Fix ChromaCom Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ChromaCom: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ChromaCom App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ChromaCom" » Open ChromaComfort™ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ChromaCom » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ChromaComfort™ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ChromaCom servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ChromaComfort™" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ChromaCom app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ChromaCom might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ChromaCom. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ChromaCom then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ChromaCom not working


2. Fix ChromaCom Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ChromaCom be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ChromaCom not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ChromaCom may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
