8. Data is encrypted on the client side using an encryption key that Proton does not have access to.
9. Proton Mail only uses secure implementations of AES, RSA, along with OpenPGP, while all of the cryptographic libraries used are open source.
10. This means we don't have the technical ability to decrypt your messages.
11. No one can read your emails but you.
1. Share a browser link, hit send, app window disappears and the email get stuck in the drafts folder and won't send, and can't be opened, and the stupid spinning circle goes on forever never sending, stuck in the drafts folder for eternity.
2. It's always grey which is kinda bland and sucky, but more practically it doesn't distinguish itself very well from other notifications (compared to, say, Gmail using red for its icons), nor does it fit very well with the general design language/theming of Proton as a whole. After the latest update, the app lags now.
3. Only complaint is some advanced functions I'm used to having that aren't available (yet?), like priority\custom inbox so I don't get notified for every single mail (can be mitigated with filters, but I think this is a lost cause on a service that doesn't scan and profile all your data).
4. I'm all for privacy, but I'm done with this app.Good, private but horrendously slow The spam filter is similar to google's, so you have to check your spam constantly for things that you actually want to receive.
5. It seems like they're still in active development, so I'm looking forward to new features. It needs to have the option to undo a delete, since sometimes it thinks you've swiped (delete) instead of tapped (open).
6. I only have free accounts so I can only log into one account at a time and whenever I log into a different account and reopen the app, the theme goes back to the default theme (light) so I have to change the theme back to the dark theme everytime.
7. This is beyond frustrating because sometimes, while scrolling on my phone, it registers it as a swipe-right and it deletes the email!I don't need anything too fancy in an email app, so this is largely sufficient for me.
8. It's also hard to mass delete emails on the app because you have to click on every email you want to delete, it's much easier to do it on a computer.
9. As long as the person has a pass code on their phone in order to use thier phone, I would not think this would be a security risk?Major Flaw! I now hate this app with all my heart and soul.
10. Once the search is fixed and spam is truly under my control, it'll be 5 stars.I was in the middle of composing an email.
11. I suspect poor coding, possibly battery saver on my phone, however Gmail doesn't have this problem.
