QR Plug-in Customer Insights

1. The scanning progress also run very very slow.Unable to transfer passwords from one phone to another with this app, when copying all fields the barcode can be scanned from the app on the other device but fails to save any actual credentials to keepass, whether I create a new entry or add to an existing one.Works well once you figure out how to enable it.

2. If I do "Show QR Code" from the main app after closing the plugin app, it does not work.working 2 share between devices usefulDoes everything I need.

3. Scratched my head for a while...On Android 11 Beta, I can only get it to work from the plugin app, or if the plugin app has been recently been used to show a QR code and is open.

4. It should show open entry or create entry option but they didn't appear.

5. You need to enable it in Keepass2android settings, and open the QR Plugin app and allow access there.

6. Have seen it fail to add new entry for entries from non-standard entries with extra fields/not-set regular fields.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix QR Plug-in Issues

1. Fix QR Plug-in Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart QR Plug-in: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the QR Plug-in App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "QR Plug-in" » Open QR Plug-in for KP2A » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for QR Plug-in » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear QR Plug-in for KP2A app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from QR Plug-in servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "QR Plug-in for KP2A" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check QR Plug-in app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, QR Plug-in might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall QR Plug-in. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall QR Plug-in then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing QR Plug-in not working


2. Fix QR Plug-in Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make QR Plug-in be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to QR Plug-in not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, QR Plug-in may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
