About Sound Analyzer

1. Its main function is to display frequency (Hz) and amplitude (dB) spectra in real time, but it can also be used to display changes in spectra over time (waterfall view) and to display waveforms (waveform view) at the same time.

2. Since it is not possible to acquire data in the removed range even with a higher setting value, it is normal for the spectrum in this range to contain only weak noise of less than -60 dB.

3. The app allows the highest frequency setting to be raised to 96 kHz, but settings above 22. 05 kHz are primarily for high-performance devices, not for general-purpose devices.

4. The frequency measurement accuracy of the Sound Analyzer is very high, and in a relatively low-noise environment, the measurement error is generally within 0. 1 Hz.

5. In most devices on the market today, data in the high frequency range above about 22 kHz is filtered out.

6. Sound Analyzer is an application for analyzing audio signals using only a mobile device.

7. However, depending on the model, larger noise due to filter processing may appear at certain frequencies such as 48 kHz and 96 kHz.

Sound Analyzer Customer Insights

1. I have a professional db meter and this app is very close to the real thing as well as the hz spectrum meter.Excellent. How do I make it show the intensity relative to a soundproofed room (or a very quiet place)? I find it unituitive to have minus decibels (relative to what sound source)? Decibels should always be expressed relative to a quiet source (by convention that would have +0 dB).

2. An option to save apex analysis to file would be nice with a user specified recording rate, e.g. 1-10 samples per second.Excellent App.

3. It makes sense now, although, one question remains: in dBFS what is the maximum level corresponding to 0 dB? Seems to me that this is device specific, or is there a standard?Just bought this app.

4. Got the council to do a survey, the output from this app ... perfect match to thier mega expensive calibrated kit.

5. Really helped in a noise issue we are having with a local factory over the last year.

6. Peak hold would be nice and log file output.

7. Tuning car audio, just learning so far, but this app for Android is quite sensitive with only a phone microphone.

8. The display is clear and the label text size is useful.

9. Thanks for a great product.

10. I have tried a few now and this one seems to be quite accurate.

11. Update: Thanks for the reply.
