About HealthPlanet

1. Displays Muscle Quality Score, Muscle Score, and Fat Score by segment (left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, trunk), using a graph. *Displayed only when RD-800 to 802, RD-803L, RD-804L or RD-E04 data is recorded. *RD-902 to 913 or RD-914L to 917L displays only Muscle Quality Score.

2. Displays judgement results and comments on muscle mass and muscle quality balance. *Displayed only when RD-800 to 802, RD-803L, RD-804L, RD-E04, RD-902 to 913, RD-914L to 917L, RD-953 or RD-E02 to E04 data is recorded.

3. Also calculates and displays the muscle mass score, an index of each muscle in the arms and legs. *Displayed only when RD-800 to 802 or RD-E04 data is recorded.

HealthPlanet Customer Insights

1. Not possible to export data as a graph! I regret buying Tanita scale! I should have bought a Panasonic they have a much better app!GS8+ Characters do not display correctly, ads appear at random locations throughout the app.

2. It appears to be programmed by a beginner rather than a company.Cannot figure out how to change data from kgs to lbs? And the app is very dated looking and not intuitive.

3. It syncs my Tanita body composition scale data although sometimes it crashes.

4. The are other data options you can input manually of which I have from other devices but there is no way to sync those also.

5. All in all, it's functional but can be presented much better and afford a better user experience.The format/layout is okay however it would be better if it could link to my fitbit or myzone belt to record steps/calories burnt.

6. Data entry is difficult as there is no indication of where the data fields are and when entering data it displays over the app text.

7. Also with the $1000 spent on the scale you should get rid of the ads please.UX/UI ugly and settings very limited.

8. Upon updating all previous data points have disappeared.

9. It seems like the app is not authenticating to the user database.Both the app and scale are highly disappointing.

10. I don't know what change but I cannot use my expensive scale and I am not happy.

11. I hv tried connecting the device this morning for over 45 min and the same message reads: "device found.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HealthPlanet Issues

1. Fix HealthPlanet Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HealthPlanet: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HealthPlanet App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HealthPlanet" » Open HealthPlanet » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HealthPlanet » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HealthPlanet app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HealthPlanet servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HealthPlanet" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HealthPlanet app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HealthPlanet might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HealthPlanet. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HealthPlanet then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HealthPlanet not working


2. Fix HealthPlanet Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HealthPlanet be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HealthPlanet not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HealthPlanet may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
