1. I have a paid subscription however every time I try to sign in, the page flashes content and signs me out again.Add night mode(dark theme) and the ability to save articles for later viewing within the app.

2. Instead, I read free online news sites.Simple to access and the content is good.

3. I PAID for the contents and they still block the content anyway.Decent and helpful app but it would be much better if an article wouldn't reload itself after I went to another app and open said article again.

4. The only reason I rated only 1 star is in hope it will catch your attention and you'll add night mode & save article for later view button within the app.The app always ask me to turn off ad blocker.

1. Restart The Japan Times: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the The Japan Times App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Japan Times" » Open The Japan Times » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Japan Times » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear The Japan Times app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Japan Times servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Japan Times" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check The Japan Times app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Japan Times might not work.
