Midi Commander Customer Insights

1. I had to do some adjustments to my Xiaomi Redmi 5 phone (android 8) but then it worked like a charm, I had to activate developer options (because its disable by default) and then I was be able to enter to aditional adjustments > developer options and turn on "disable automatic routing to USB audio" and also switch to "midi" on "select USB options", after doing this two adjustments you should go to the midi commander app, tap on settings (the three vertical dots...) > global settings check if there is a device name in the "USB Midi Device" if not, then turn on "Android Midi Drivers" option and then check again, when you tap the pads you must see a "green" confirmation below (when you tap the button pads there is a pop little square that appears below in the screen, when is not properly configured it shows in "red" color), I tested it with to PC stand alone applications, Amplitube 4 and FL...

2. False advertising.Looks like a great app but does not seem to support Androids native USB midi implementation that allows using MIDI over USB when the device is connected to a computer and that does not require any additional USB adapter / OTG cable.Excellent app, only thing I would recommend is to add a pitch bend (which springs back to middle) and mod wheel section so that those without such a keyboard can use those featuresApp is very nice & useful, it is working properly, But I want update for this app, because this version is not working sometimes, PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATE FOR THIS APP.

3. DUDE! Give us gesture customization in the options! Think it over and fix menu. This app is great! I used this one to switch presets on amplitube 4 and also I can used to control some knobs and other things, it allows you to set midi channel, program change, control change, note, NRPN, RPN and other usefull things, it's interface have button pads, sliders, knobs, pad and midi monitor.

4. I do have to select the android device a second times in global settings after connection, but it works! Now I will pay forward the extra 5th star for an option to have the drawbars from screen edge to screen edge in landscape mode... ;) I mean, taller drawbars, with either smaller or relocated preset buttons.Best MIDI app ever! Some crashes at the start, but now it works perfectly.

5. Thank you!Doesn't even work when my MIDI keyboard is hooked up and there's no way I can get this app to work with at all as the it freezes when my set up is connected to my phone.

6. it is very simple but it can replace any midi pad controller that thousant musicians use just to execute macros or shortcuts for DAW.

7. If you use any button or slider far left of the screen, The buttons overlap with the trigger area of the menu.

8. I can switch patches, play drums and send sysex messages via bluetooth to my Roland XP-80 workstation from the nineties.

9. Straightforward midi information.

10. Imagin using this with apps like Keybord Maestro or others.ufff... But it dosn't work.

11. I use this app with my Roland GR55 to change patches, It took a little while to set up, but was worth it.
