1. Moreover, this app is launched automatically at start-up: why??? The only useful option among the Settings offered is "Download Offline Content", which downloads the park map somewhere, but without letting the user know exactly where.
2. Think the trick is.. You have to download offline content using WiFi before you get to Yellowstone and don't touch the phone during the process (unless of course, it is stuck).
3. Once I was able to finally download the offline content, I was able to view the map without wireless service.
4. Also, if you download and cache the offline data it does not use the cached data unless you are in airplane mode or completely without signal.
5. I was able to fix by turning off location and notification permissions, but ultimately had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to workRuns in background and uses GPS all the time unless you force quit app or restart phone.
6. The geyser predictions wouldn't save the last loaded prediction; it dumped them the minute it detected you were offline.Helpful info about things to see and where to find restrooms.
7. The map, each time you would go back, even using the in-app back arrow, would zoom out to either the whole park or the whole state, rather than going back to the area you were looking at.
8. 4 stars bc it does get stuck here and there but very helpful to use for offline content.
9. Why can't I select the folder where I want the map to be saved??? As all software developers should be aware, it's best to have as few as possible apps in the internal storage, where the OS already is; this app and its data should be moved to the external storage (SD card), but that's not possible in this version of the app.
10. The app claims it has a calendar of events, it's the - useless again - content of the "Schedules" tile, which changes title to "Calendar" only after navigating to it.
11. The app was developed with offline functionality in mind, which is necessary in the park.
