Miele Scout Customer Insights

1. Some steps are missing from the pairing guide, for example the one for connecting to the vacuum's network with the serial number as password in order to send the wifi configs to the vacuum.

2. Add it..drama yesterday no connection, changed the wifi and reset the vacuum and restart my phone countless times, this morning: everything working fine.

3. Your words not mine "We are constantly striving to become “immer besser”.Considering the price point of this vacuum cleaner and the Mielle brand, this app is an utter disappointment.

4. I contacted Miele and they said, "the RX2 does not app accept Motorola Android because the phone does not permit automatic switchover to the correct programming." Not sure why there would be an Android app if the RX2 doesn't accept it.

5. The vacuum is connected to my 2.4Ghz wireless network but the application fails to finalize the pairing.

6. Has never loaded a map, flaky about connecting, I can't log into my Miele account, and the timer I set on the app keeps changing the time and mode without my requesting the changes.

7. After several trials I still could not vacuum the whole house without the robot throw an error and giving it lots of assistance.

8. I would never buy anything else from Miele, ever!!!!Impossible to pair the vacuum with the app installed on my S8+.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Miele Scout Issues

1. Fix Miele Scout Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Miele Scout: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Miele Scout App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Miele Scout" » Open Miele Scout » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Miele Scout » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Miele Scout app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Miele Scout servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Miele Scout" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Miele Scout app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Miele Scout might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Miele Scout. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Miele Scout then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Miele Scout not working


2. Fix Miele Scout Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Miele Scout be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Miele Scout not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Miele Scout may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
