1. THIS IS MY HOW-TO: (1) put your phone in airplane mode to disable wifi & data; (2) on camera, press Menu, Mode, down down, OK; (3) turn on phone wifi & connect to 4K_WIFI; (4) turn on this app & make sure says 4K_WIFI; (5) press SHOOT & you should be in; (6) to turn off cam wifi: shut the cam screen door, then take phone out of airplane mode & go back to regular wifi.

We have right of privacy.the application is chinese: no explanation, no desing, no translation, no quality, starts working only when you start do reasearches on google, deconnect your mobile data, and do crazy things you would never do in your live, when the application does work, you are deconnected from internet, there is no way to share the connection with your PC... is crazy hard to guess what and how it works, I make it work, but is no unfriendly and supid that I will put 1 star, or even zero if I couldthis is not an intuitive app to connect to your phone.

I'm planning to use the app for recording slow-mo of archery - using the app I discovered how the slow-mo video worked, and you can review the footage immediately after recording without any messing around with buttons on the camera.That "shoot" button makes me want to shoot the app every time! 😡 When I press it I get the Error message: WiFi Connection Overtime.

4. Turn off your mobile data, turn action camera on and then find it in your phone's wifi connections and then connect.

5. I will say the App is not very intuitive, but it works.Horrible! Don't waste your money! I can't retrieve my photos without connecting to the camera's wifi and it wants access to everything on my phone.

Great for me as I can mount the camera and then adjust and know it is recording.I am using this app from Long time, but last update makes this app unstable, like after transferring video when we minimize the app and open after 30sec it closes automatically and says APP IS OCCURRING PROBLEM & why do you need our location all time, please fix this all issues.

7. In order to get it to connect to the camera, connect your phone wifi to the camera *before* starting the app.

8. The only thing that's not clear is that you touch "SHOOT" to connect to the phone's WiFi.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix XDV PRO Issues

1. Fix XDV PRO Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart XDV PRO: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the XDV PRO App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "XDV PRO" » Open XDV PRO » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for XDV PRO » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear XDV PRO app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from XDV PRO servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "XDV PRO" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check XDV PRO app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, XDV PRO might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall XDV PRO. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall XDV PRO then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing XDV PRO not working


2. Fix XDV PRO Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make XDV PRO be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to XDV PRO not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, XDV PRO may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
