Episode Guide Customer Insights

1. it works for me plus they update regularly which is nice! one feature I'd like is to "hide" shows that have been completed and aren't returning so i don't have to remove them from my list.TWO of the shows I have not watched, in fact they haven't even aired yet are under my "watched" shows.

2. I can't figure out how to move them to my "not started" list.always have a hard time getting app to open about 99% of the time ! But , love when I finally able to view it ,love that it shows me when my shows are new ,what days ,and if the series has ended.

3. I just watch too many different shows at once for it to be practical to go through the list every time.

4. Sync with TVMaze doesn't work, so what's the point? The app has potential, and I guess is good for people who are just starting to track their viewing habits, but for someone with an extensive existing TVMaze profile, the app requires too much duplicated work.

5. So I figured I'd Uninstall it and download it again, well that wasn't a great idea lost all my shows and had to re add ALL MY SHOWS AGAIN.

6. A search for added shows would be nice 🙂Exactly what I was looking for.

7. I know app makers need work to do, but if it isnt broke, why try fixing it?It's doing Nothing but FORCING CLOSED EVER 10 SECONDS NON STOP! PLEASE FIX.

8. Works great when using data and not wifi.The "upgrade" looks horrible.

10. app just updated while I was writing this ,its totally different and cant find any of my list ! please bring back old version .Really like the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Episode Guide Issues

1. Fix Episode Guide Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Episode Guide: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Episode Guide App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Episode Guide" » Open Episode Guide: TV show tracker » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Episode Guide » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Episode Guide: TV show tracker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Episode Guide servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Episode Guide: TV show tracker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Episode Guide app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Episode Guide might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Episode Guide. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Episode Guide then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Episode Guide not working


2. Fix Episode Guide Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Episode Guide be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Episode Guide not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Episode Guide may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
