1. They have alot of bugs for example, once you're done with a commercial five seconds of the show you're watching will go by and then it's back to a commerical..... It's so annoying.... even on TV they don't have as many commercials as this app does..... very disappointingWhen this app works, it's great.

2. None of my other apps do this, and it works just fine on my Moto G5+, but on my Fire Stick, I'm forever having to reload the app & hunt down the episode I was watching.

3. it'll often jump to ads right in the middle of a show instead of waiting for the ad breaks, and then the ads play again at the ad break.

4. ad but, approximately 7 out of 10 times if fails, I have to exit and then go back and tap continue watching which then I start out with another long set of commercials 😔.I think the app could be definitely improved by adding a feature to cast to a smart tv.

5. Another issue is the episodes tend to skip so the same line gets repeated 2x or 3x.This app has alot of amazing selections BUT you can't watch them due to all the ads and commercials on it.

6. I have to watch via the web.When watching series, this app will not autoplay the next episode.

7. It's practically impossible to start episodes to begin with, because it will not play on the first try, or the second try, and sometimes not even on the third try.

8. It happens in the middle of watching an episode of something.

9. Starting any new episode automatically forces you to watch 3-5 minutes of ads.

10. Beside the agonizing ads I see no problems with the app itself.I can't watch a full show.

11. The video player itself doesn't even come up for me to pause, play, rewind, fast forward etc.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix A&E Issues

1. Fix A&E Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart A&E: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the A&E App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "A&E" » Open A&E: TV Shows That Matter » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for A&E » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear A&E: TV Shows That Matter app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from A&E servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "A&E: TV Shows That Matter" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check A&E app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, A&E might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall A&E. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall A&E then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing A&E not working


2. Fix A&E Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make A&E be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to A&E not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, A&E may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I did not sign up for this and it has been coming out of my back account for a few months from what I see. I have tried to cancel on app and it is not giving me an option. I want this canceled immediately.
