Toyota Entune Customer Insights

1. I have driven a prius for 8 going on 9 years and one of the reason i purchased my second prius was because of the ease of connecting the phone using the app to play music using Pandora.

2. rebooted my phone before attempting to connect to the car through this app still doesn't work except on the apps that don't mean anything to me.

3. I had to start using the Bluetooth to use the apps on my phone to play through the car.

4. Even if I'm doing it wrong, why does navigation have to be so difficult? I'd rather have no features than defective ones.Pretty useless since they removed Pandora functionality.

5. I waste time trying to figure it out, like adding an address to my phone and it's not found in the navigation after synching with the phone.

6. I constantly have to turn the car off then back on to get it to connect properly, if not uninstall the phone from the cars Bluetooth recognition and then reinstall it.

7. It's very frustrating to have your maps freeze up mid travel or receive a call but Bluetooth will not recognize your phone.

8. I can not connect to any of my favorite apps such as Pandora and IHeart Radio.

9. I'll post more after I use that for a while.Every update to Entune has removed either apps or features.

10. The map feature in the app doesn't connect to the vehicle, so there's no point in using it over Google maps.

11. The few remaining features in the current version of Entune are extremely buggy and slow.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Toyota Entune Issues

1. Fix Toyota Entune Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Toyota Entune: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Toyota Entune App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Toyota Entune" » Open Toyota Entune® » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Toyota Entune » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Toyota Entune® app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Toyota Entune servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Toyota Entune®" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Toyota Entune app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Toyota Entune might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Toyota Entune. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Toyota Entune then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Toyota Entune not working


2. Fix Toyota Entune Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Toyota Entune be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Toyota Entune not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Toyota Entune may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • My newly installed Toyota Entune app, which replaced the 3.0 version will not accept my VIN#, even though I scanned it and also entered it manually multiple times, so I am unable to create an account. Please help
