1. Nothing works the same, most displayed info that was helpful such as my mileage and tire pressure are gone from the main screen and the app gives a hard time scheduling a maintenance appointment! Though the interface is rather simple I feel it could be made simpler by having all default features of every vehicle be displayed on one page of the app.

2. To fix this I disabled notifications, but the app will not allow you to remote start or lock and unlock the car without having notifications on.

3. If you disable the permission to do so, it will bug you every time to enable and blocks features (some of which you may have paid for!) Even if location isn't needed for those features.

4. Remote start is also pointless as the car shuts off as soon as you attempt to put the vehicle into gear from the remote start via app.

5. They have you stuck between a rock and a hard place with it.I had trouble with the app draining my battery on an older phone, but it works fine on my new phone.

6. Now after using the app for a few weeks, it constantly crashes and I can't even load the financial portion because it keeps getting errors when I switch over to the email to get the code.

7. Will show windows as closed within the app when vehicle windows are left wide open.

8. Very disappointed as I love Toyota as a company.Notifications are buggy and useless.

9. It does nothing when opened, and then an error message pops up after waiting several minutes.

10. Just don't!!!Super buggy, extremely laggy/slow, inaccurate vehicle status reports.

11. However, on the latest version, the first thing you see when you open the app is an ad, trying to sell you subscriptions.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Toyota Issues

1. Fix Toyota Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Toyota: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Toyota App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Toyota" » Open Toyota » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Toyota » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Toyota app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Toyota servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Toyota" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Toyota app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Toyota might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Toyota. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Toyota then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Toyota not working


2. Fix Toyota Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Toyota be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Toyota not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Toyota may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Dear Toyota, I am writing to formally request the deletion of all my personal and private information from your company's database. I have recently noticed an increase in unwanted junk mail and telemarketing calls from companies that I have never had any prior contact with. This has been disruptive and intrusive, and I would like to take action to prevent it from continuing. I believe that my personal information may have been shared with a third party marketing company, and I would like to request that my details be removed from your database in order to stop this from happening. I understand that I have the right to have my personal information erased under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (or other relevant privacy laws such as CCPA, PIPEDA). I would greatly appreciate it if you could confirm in writing that my personal information has been deleted from your database. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
