About Trimble Mobile Manager

1. In conjunction with a subscription to the Trimble Catalyst™ GNSS positioning service, use this app to connect to and configure your Catalyst DA2 receiver, monitor the status of the subscription, and control how GNSS positions are accessed or shared with other location-enabled apps running on your phone or tablet.

2. Use this app to configure and test your GNSS receiver, set up GNSS receivers for use with Trimble Precision SDK enabled apps, or connect to and share high precision positions with other applications which use Android Location Services.

3. It is also a subscription licensing application for Trimble Catalyst GNSS services.

4. Trimble® Mobile Manager is a configuration application for Trimble GNSS receivers.

5. High accuracy modes (1-60cm) require a paid subscription to the Catalyst service.

Trimble Customer Insights

1. Recent Android 11 update created problems where 3d party apps which worked before no longer could access Trimble's more accurate location, so at least a dozen or more apps were tested and none would work with Trimble any more.

2. Communicated with nice folks at Duncan-Parnell & Trimble and tonight they rolled out app update which appears to enable the 3d party apps to take advantage of sub-meter accuracy once again.

3. Does the catalyst antenna need to be plugged into the phone when you start the app? Running samsung galaxy 8+ android 8.0.0 stock verizon config.

4. Doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or 5g LTE, and yes, my phone data is on and works/...)LATEST UPDATE: Update cure tonight ! Yaye.

5. Could you help me with some of those apps that might be useful in my case?Well, I have an update, and nothing is working, impossible to connect, check your cable.

6. Too bad the TMM app won't let us simply export a session's worth of waypoints because Penmap and Terraflex are beyond the reach of non-professionals in my opinion after buying the DA-1 and paying for Catalyst service.

7. (I'm using the DA-1 ext usb antenna by Trimble and their Catalyst subscription service).

8. How do I do that? Is there some other app required for this? By device I mean the Trimble catalyst.

9. Now that's two wasted visits to Scotland, not cheap, and twice we have had to let our client down.Update: While we still have no idea as to the cause, a very helpful support member has been helping me track it down.

10. Will rate higher once I can get into the app.There is always some glitch that prevents Catalyst from working, usually related to the subscription - yet I'm in good standing.

11. The screen continually flashes and displays a google error message "network problems prevent loading of login page".

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Trimble Issues

1. Fix Trimble Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Trimble: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Trimble App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Trimble" » Open Trimble Mobile Manager » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Trimble » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Trimble Mobile Manager app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Trimble servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Trimble Mobile Manager" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Trimble app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Trimble might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Trimble. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Trimble then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Trimble not working


2. Fix Trimble Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Trimble be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Trimble not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Trimble may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Cannot run Trimble Mobile Manager on a new TDC150. It says, "Trimble Mobile Manager login not available No Internet Connection". We have internet access for sure, because we used it to install TMM. We even reset the device to factory setting and still we get the same message. Can someone help us please?
