1. I have been told for the last year that Android's require GNSS Status to hold the mock-location values because Terraflex can't do it.Any time I type Status it crush down and disconnect my Trimble R1.

2. Doesn't disclose that it requires other components to work and then tries to push you into downloading them.GNSS Status app keeps losing bluetooth when I open the Collector for ArcGIS app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GNSS Status Issues

1. Fix GNSS Status Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GNSS Status: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GNSS Status App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GNSS Status" » Open GNSS Status » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GNSS Status » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GNSS Status app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GNSS Status servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GNSS Status" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GNSS Status app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GNSS Status might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GNSS Status. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GNSS Status then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GNSS Status not working


2. Fix GNSS Status Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GNSS Status be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GNSS Status not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GNSS Status may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
