1. Sometimes more is actually less and this is a great example of that.RECENT UPDATES DID NOT CHANGE APP!! Unless it's live stream app doesn't work! If you try to watch videos of a show once you're done with one and you click on the other, you can hear audio from the previous one and you constantly have to close the app.
2. One note about all news broadcasting: I do want access to raw footage to really see what the reporter is describing that the photojournalist recorded before it got cut for broadcasting.I am done with my phone being taken hostage when ads play.
3. Sad to say, as bad as the CBS news app is, most other American news apps are even worse.I really dislike that if I have to back out of a (streamed) story for something else coming in on my phone, that I cannot resume where I left off.
4. I'm considering uninstalling and just going directly to their website on mobile because that seems to be more stable... For reference this issue has been happening with this app for over 3 years and it's very frustrating.I doubt anyone who can make changes will read this, but here goes...the app is incredibly slow to load.
5. They break up the shows in videos and it's not all of the program, plus you can't find them you have to scroll the entire site just looking for the rest of it.The CBS News app catches me up on the news when I'm out and about.
6. I understand the need for a revenue stream but forcing your phone to play a 30 second far from inspires me to by a product when the whole time I am trying to quiet the video.
7. Every time I click into a story that pops up I continuously get an error message that the app stops working.
8. The reason I give four stars is, although I appreciate the technical improvement in the app's function, there's still room for improvement.App is VERY slow to load initially.
9. You won't be able to skip, stop or close the app.I really liked the previous version of the CBS News app.
10. I can either, close the app and lose the story, wait and have the error message pop up, or click send feedback and wait to have the error message pop up again.
11. 5 seconds into the ad I am debating how badly I want to even read the news but too bad, the ad has you stuck.
Requesting to delete my cbs news account from my roku because I do not use it and have not required use for it in months but still getting charged 4.99 a month for the subscription.
