What users are saying

1. Until they address that, I do not recommend allowing the wifi router access over the cloud.

2. Despite needing app for certain "pro" functions, there are other advanced options it tells you to access via a browser.Poor. It drops its connection to my TP-Links constantly.

3. Access to the router configuration through the cloud as well as locally on network in an easy GUI.

4. I've tried both access points, rebooted the router, phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app but no go.

5. However, more needs to be done to secure access to it besides just a password for cloud account.

6. This remote access is allowed even if you had turned remote access off in the router.

7. During the set up process, the app thinks my wifi thermostat is a TP device and is trying to use my TP password to connect to that instead of the actual TP device.

8. Half an hour later, my TP Link is still not connected to my new wi fi router.Bring all functions back to router pages.

9. However, the name on the icon is "tether", thus, if you do need the app, you have to remember that it is not actually labeled in such a way that you can scan through your apps and say, "look, there is the TP-Link app".

10. Not secure in my opinion. The router i chose works great.

11. Also Must allow remote access.
