1. Bad point, rubbish editing software! Tomtom, could you please update it to something decent or at least tell me why you don't feel the need to update it? You've made a pretty decent camera only to be let down by rubbish software! A reply to this would be good & not " a please call/contact" auto reply one!App gets stuck on the 'Connecting' screen while trying to connect to the Bandit camera.

2. Typical tomtom support, issue that hasnt been fixed for nearly 12months!!! RUBBISH, MIGHT ASWELL GET A GOPROi dont leaving bad reviews but connectivity is an issue for ohines running up to date software, camera says im connected however the app doesnt reflect this.

3. You have a crappy hardware life cycle if this is the case, what am I expected to buy a new action cam every 2 years because you can keep your app upto date.Useless, almost as if TomTom has abandonded the bandit camera.

4. if you can advise when we might expect an uodate that would be great but considering the last update is nearly 2 years old probably means it wontJust dug out my bandit after a year of none use only to have the never ending connecting screen.

5. They've also discontinued their desktop app so been left with a camera worth several hundred pounds and no apps or software to enhance the experienceThis app no longer works with Android devices.

6. Files play fine outside studio but you lose though sensor overlaysI have no problems connecting or recording, the images are good when attached to my crash helmet, not so good if fixed to the bike, obviously more vibration, that's the good point.

7. Given the lack of updates for approx a year, I expect this app is now dead.Seems this software is not compatible with the latest android versions, gets stuck on the connection process.

8. They claim to be constantly improving the but there's been zero updates since Oct '17 The pc studio is equally poor rendering a great camera virtually useless.

9. Very disappointed that TomTom hasn't kept this camera software up to date.

10. Today, for no reason the app won't move past the "Connecting" screen even though the camera states it is connected.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TomTom Bandit Issues

1. Fix TomTom Bandit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TomTom Bandit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TomTom Bandit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TomTom Bandit" » Open TomTom Bandit » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TomTom Bandit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TomTom Bandit app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TomTom Bandit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TomTom Bandit" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TomTom Bandit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TomTom Bandit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TomTom Bandit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TomTom Bandit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TomTom Bandit not working


2. Fix TomTom Bandit Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TomTom Bandit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TomTom Bandit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TomTom Bandit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
