Why should I report an Issue with Soumi: Network Music Player?

1. AppContacter will directly Email your issue/feedback to an apps's customer service once you report an issue and with lots of issues reported, companies will definitely listen to you.
2. Pulling issues faced by users like you is a good way to draw attention of Techsoft. to your problem using the strength of crowds.
3. Importantly, customers can learn from other customers in case the issue is a common problem that has been solved before.

1. A related gripe is library scanning is slow compared to Samba music player.The app works great... but, Making a playlist is no fun... it would be nuce if there was an option to ad complete folders to a playlist... I might have missed it but now I had to add 3500 songs by hand.... after that it play's perfect from my NAS but it was a lot of work.... If there is already a option to add complete folders to an playlist plese make it easy to use en to find... If that's done it will a 5 star rating.Would be nice to go into app by clicking somewhere on the widget.

2. Also bought JetAudio (free or +) for use on networks too but jetaudio has pauses & buffers.it seems to be a player that is able to live up to itvs claim, but it doesn't seem to support sftp connection with key authentication.... I'm stuck with Filemanagee + that allows key authentication, but the media player doesn't support recursive folders or even does a good job at listing/playing back if theres more then a few hundred files.

3. could it be possible to implement key authentication? after more testing I found out that this client is using the older version of ssh... not very goodYes!!! The only solution for a specific need!!! Listening over the network with recursive music folder and files finding.

4. Yea, I know it doesn't sound like a winner, however, the remaining features work fine and because of the networking functionality, it's my main player.

6. If anybody else does that successfully, I'd switch.I was looking for a player that could access music on a NAS.

7. As a player its UI isnt the smartest, the playlist setup is a little clumsy not very intuitive, however it does the job.

8. This is still the best network player I have found, but it desperately needs an update.Works well once loaded.

9. The cost is worth every single cent.In library folder you cannot click on song option as scrollbar appear.

11. Making playlists is a pain, managing playlists worse, I think the makers have abandoned further development/updating for 3 or more years now, and periodically, the next song played will play with no volume (you have to pause/unpause).

1. Fix Soumi Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Soumi: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Soumi App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Soumi" » Open Soumi: Network Music Player » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Soumi » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Soumi: Network Music Player app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Soumi servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Soumi: Network Music Player" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Soumi app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Soumi might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Soumi. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Soumi then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Soumi not working

2. Fix Soumi Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Soumi be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Soumi not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Soumi may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
