ShareLens Customer Insights

1. Would really like real HIGH QUALITY shots with less compression.Unfortunately, Sharelens DOESN'T offer 3 quality modes, unless you spend more money (around $3,50) - fact they forgot to mention in the app description.

2. Otherwise, bad picture quality.Possible improvement: (1) clearer instructions of connection type (2) setting up wifi-direct/Mobile AP for users within the app, instead of needing to set & connect manually.

3. 12mp camera, photo, (which are usually saved as a 2mb or more file size) is compressed to 375kb? Why does this matter? It produces heavily artefact/pixilated shots.

4. I can't get the dumb thing to work.Compresses file size of photos to mere kilobytes.

5. With great distance! Great shooting opportunity due to the many placements the phone can be put in.

6. The good? It works as a remote shutter release.

7. That's NOT high quality at all.

8. Other than that? Thinking this guy cares less about this product though.

9. Focusing is bad.

10. Period.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ShareLens Issues

1. Fix ShareLens Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ShareLens: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ShareLens App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ShareLens" » Open ShareLens » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ShareLens » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ShareLens app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ShareLens servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ShareLens" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ShareLens app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ShareLens might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ShareLens. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ShareLens then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ShareLens not working


2. Fix ShareLens Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ShareLens be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ShareLens not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ShareLens may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
