1. I start reading and get into the article, but then I can read it to the end! The most basic function of a news media app is to be able to read all of the words.

2. It's been that way for the few years I've been using it.The content is great but every time you click on an article it takes you to the wrong article.

3. You have to open the app, hunt for the article you just had open, and only then does a button appear.I can't scroll to the bottom of articles.

7. Update: now it crashes every 15 secondsThe app interface is pleasant and easy to use, but it crashes and resets me to the home screen as I read through articles.

8. Sometimes, when I pause during an article, even for a few minutes, when I come back to keep reading, the article is gone.

9. Honestly - you'd be better off going through your neighbor's recycle bin to read a stained ,weeks old copy of the physical paper then use this app.Links consistently take me to the wrong stories.

10. I burned through almost 4GB in 3 weeks just reading text and viewing a few images! I suspect the real data hog is the video advertisements that auto-start in the background.

11. It should allow me to configure which notifications are of interest to me.Good app for reading the Seattle Times, but I have two complaints and dinged one star for each.

1. Fix The Seattle Times Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart The Seattle Times: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the The Seattle Times App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Seattle Times" » Open The Seattle Times » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Seattle Times » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear The Seattle Times app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Seattle Times servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Seattle Times" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check The Seattle Times app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Seattle Times might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall The Seattle Times. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Seattle Times then reinstall.
