1. The app uses custom and unique algorithms to generate charts, easily input complex harmonic structures, extract chords from fingerings, determine fingers positions, compute keys of scales, generate chords from scales and find scales that go well with some chords. For example, Chord! • You want to know on what scale you can improvise for some chord sequence (and the answer can be different than the Pentatonic minor! • You want to impress your little sister by showing her how you can play the same chords with two bars! • You want to know how Django managed to play with two and a half fingers.
2. Chord! is your next chords and scales app for guitar or any fretted instrument like bass, ukulele, banjo, etc.
3. Chords are not all and the app is also shipped with the biggest list of named scales (and you can create your own scales).
4. You can also enter a sequence of chords to find which scale you can use to improvise onto.
5. If this keyboard is a great way to enter chords, it is also very useful to discover and understand how the chords are formed.
6. If you're a beginner, you can choose the chord from a list, but you can also use the intelligent keyboard to enter the chord as it is written.
7. You can also enter some notes on a neck to find which chords it can be.
8. Like for chords, you can even search for a scale from its fingering!
9. Whatever is your level or your instrument, Chord! will adapt and give you the most precise answer.
10. Unlike other chord charts app, the app doesn't rely on a database of charts.
11. Of course it can also lay down these scales on a neck (with sound) and compute their fingerings.
1. Chord lookup feature is rich... This app is much more than a chord catalog! You can't go wrong with adding it to your music toolbox.App is good for keeping track of Your favorite scales, chords, tunings and such but has a serious problem with crashing constantly when trying to add a chord or scale to your favorites section.
2. Otherwise, I've been using this app for years now and it is my goto for building chords from simple to advanced, would highly recommend for any level of musician.Love it! This is a great companion program to the "Music Theory for Dummies" book I've been working my way through for the last year.
3. Can I get some help from devs?Would give this 5 stars if it included a way of building progressions from your favorites that could be played and looped (even a very simple one would be better than nothing) seeing as it already has a sound engine for playing chords.
4. I'm sure this app could improve in due time.Great app! Only thing I'm missing is an option to save sets of chords (for songs for example) so I can have all of a song's chords at once.
5. The reverse lookup and harmonization features are great for exploring scales and their use over target chords.
6. That helps see how scales can follow chord progressions.I really like this app but for months now when you go in to change your tuning and press the "+" icon the whole app crashes.
7. It doesn't allow for easy favoriting of chords, scales etc, which is what I'd use this tool for.
8. My only desire would be for a chromatic tuner that uses the microphone to be part of this app so that I can tune to the tunings in this app without switching to a different program and so on.One of the best apps I've found for guitar and an invaluable addition to my practise regime.
9. But, now that I've earned some actual disposable income, I have to come back and buy this to support! Amazing and incredibly deep tool, full of features, and plenty of theory buried in there too.
10. Wanna know what funky chord you just played? Put in the notes and bam!Powerful tool, but unfortunately not intuitive.
11. Everything else works though.Amazing and Powerful Tool! I must shamefully admit that I pirated this app for a few years... Yeah, sorry about that.
