3. The ResidentPortal app provides a convenient way to pay rent, submit maintenance orders with photos, and communicate with your apartment community all from your mobile phone.

4. Property settings include, but are not limited to, payment methods, payment days, full balance payment requirements, or maintenance request availability.

The app automatically routes your call to the appropriate after-hours number when the office closes. • Submit Maintenance Requests - Submit a maintenance request right from the app. • Take a Picture of the Problem - Use your smart phone's camera to take a picture of the maintenance issue without leaving the app.

Resident Portal Customer Insights

1. Great app other than it periodically unlinks your bank account (you have to do a direct deposit if you want to be charged a 3 dollar "convenience" fee) and that it wants to charge a 26 dollar "convenience" fee if you're wanting to use your credit card (Discover) so that you can at least get rewards for paying your rent.

2. Other than that, the app it great and I would definitely reccomend.It really makes paying your rent bill easier and ordering maintenance work super quick but I wish it offered a little more to make it even more accessible and user-friendly.

3. There are some inherent limitations with anything compared to what a web access experience can offer, so there have been a couple of occasions when logging in via web provided a fuller and just more complete experience, but it's never really been anything I could blame the App itself for.

4. All I have to do is check off the appropriate bank.I have to side with the positive reviews, as I've had no problems at all to speak of, everything loads smoothly and the layout is as organized as I could really imagine.

5. Neither putting the entire address or key words and using my location worked.It tells you that you can't use the camera or photo storage without granting permission - EVEN AFTER GRANTING PERMISSION.

6. It's been this way for years and unfortunately the feedback doesn't seem to be used.I think it has a lot of potential, but parts of it dont seem to be updated regularly.

7. Most apps of this nature only charge if you use a credit card, not a bank.

8. Maintenance section seems to work well , my requests always get an immediate response.

9. I signed up for resident portal and it work through the application process through my apartments website.

10. It sends a payment confirmation to my email right away as well as showing me the payment confirmation in real time.

11. It is not a well-crafted app, and I have been using it only because it is required by my apartment.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Resident Portal Issues

1. Fix Resident Portal Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Resident Portal: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Resident Portal App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Resident Portal" » Open Resident Portal » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Resident Portal » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Resident Portal app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Resident Portal servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Resident Portal" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Resident Portal app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Resident Portal might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Resident Portal. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Resident Portal then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Resident Portal not working


2. Fix Resident Portal Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Resident Portal be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Resident Portal not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Resident Portal may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I lost my credit card & have a new card but the system requires a PLAID verification code. for my new card KeyBank sent the code to my og landline which doesn't have text.I had Keybank change to my cell phone number but the Portal no longer gives that link & just keeps bumping it back to my old card.

  • Have reported previous credit card lost & have new credit card for rent payment. Can't adjust under "Pay My Bill" e-mail because it's rejecting my password.
